What can I see in the sky tonight?
It depends on your location and the date, but most clear nights offer the Moon (unless it’s new), one or more bright planets, and — from dark sites — thousands of stars and the Milky Way. The timeline above shows exactly what’s above your horizon tonight and when each object is highest.
What planets are visible tonight?
The five naked-eye planets — Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn — are visible at different times of year. This page works out which are above your horizon during tonight’s dark hours, how bright they are, and where to look.
What time does it get dark tonight?
